Gold Bracket Winners Announced from 2021 Frozen Lake Festival

This past weekend, Hype Nation hosted the Frozen Lake Festival, which was their first tournament of the 2021 season. The all-girl festival took place at Cedar Point Sports Center in Sandusky, OH and welcomed 1,220 athletes and just over 1,800 total spectators. The tournament was limited to 50% spectator capacity in compliance with the CDC, local and state guidelines for health and safety.

The two-day tournament was composed of 328 total games played across 20 volleyball courts at the facility. Of the 122 teams competing, 49 were from out of state, and 81 were traveling teams. All of the teams competing ranged between division 10 through division 18, and there was one winner per division.

Sports Facilities Company’s own in-house volleyball consultant, Gabby Fresh, was in attendance and was overall satisfied with how the weekend long festival played out. Gabby said, “We were all impressed with how Cedar Point hosted the festival, while always keeping health and safety a priority. You could tell all the teams that were competing were just happy to be there playing a game they love, especially with the instability of last year’s season due to COVID-19.”
