Volleyball teams from several states traveled to Florida to experience the Battle of the Beach in Tampa Bay. The 2-day event was held at the Wiregrass Sports Ranch Campus with over 50 teams and 750+ spectators. On Saturday afternoon an exclusive elite volleyball clinic, powered by Mikasa, was held to improve middle and high school player skills potentially interested in playing at the collegiate level. The clinic was operated by coaches and players with NJCAA, NAIA, and NCAA Division I, II, and III experience.

“We’ve been interested in hosting a volleyball event in Florida for teams across the south and eastern seaboard,” said Troy Helton, Hype Nation Partner. “The Battle of the Beach tournament turned out to be a success and gave teams a chance to beat the cold wintery weather in Tampa Bay. We also had a fantastic turnout at the clinic and will look to add more experiences like that for future Hype Nation events.”

Hype Nation would like to extend a special thank you and shout out to two of our event sponsors. Mikasa for providing the tournament balls for all games and 431 Sports who provided all of the champion medals. Without the support of our sponsors, we wouldn’t be given the opportunity to work with other exceptional industry partners! Below is a list of the division champions from the Battle of the Beach.
